Outdoor Soccer - Spring 2015

As we begin the new year, it is time to start thinking about outdoor soccer this Spring. Below you will find all the information you need about registration, fees, and financial aid as it becomes available for the Spring 2015 season.

Returning Players

All returning players from Fall 2014, should have received an e-mail from the club about returning this Spring. If you did not receive an e-mail please e-mail the club at [email protected] with the following information:

1. Player Name

2. Fall 2014 Team

3. Would you like to apply for a scholarship? - Yes or No

The club will continue to try and contact you via e-mail and phone, but if we do not hear back from you by March 1st, we will open up your child’s spot to new players.

New Players

Is your child interested in joining the LSC this Spring? We are always accepting new members, so long as our teams have open spaces. If you are a new player and would like to join the LSC this spring, please e-mail [email protected] with the following information:

1. Name

2. Date of Birth and Gender

Once we hear from you we will check if there are spaces open on the correct team. Unfortunately, the LSC does have a very large membership and sometimes we do need to ask new players to wait until June tryouts.

Spring Fees and Scholarships

The fees for Spring will remain the same and will be as follows:

U9 & U10 - $70

U11 & U12 - $80

U13 and up - $90

These fees allow us to pay our league dues for each team, pay referee fees for each game, and do minor equipment replacement and repair as necessary. Club fees are due by March 1st. Fees can be paid in check or cash to your coach/manager/club official or you can pay online using a credit/debit card at the payment link above.

If your child needs a scholarship, please contact [email protected] ASAP and let us know. If we do not hear from you by February 28th, we will be unable to offer your child a scholarship. This spring, the LSC is able to offer $50 scholarships to players with demonstrated need. Parents and players are responsible for the remaining balance on the spring fees. If you receive a scholarship, your spring fees will be:

U9 & U10 - $20

U11 & U12 - $30

U13 and up - $40

We understand that this amount may still be a financial burden for some families and we are happy to discreetly make payment arrangements with your family.

LSC wins SoupGrant!

LSC Wins SoupGrant Lansing!

soupgrant-3On December 18th, 2014, the Lansing Soccer Club was invited to participate in a monthly competition called SoupGrant Lansing! SoupGrant is a micro-grant given out on the 3rd Thursday of every month. How it works is two local organizations are selected from a group of applicants each month and invited to come and compete. Every person who attends the event pays $5 for a soup dinner and one vote. Each organization gives a brief summary of who they are and why they are seeking funds and then everyone votes. The organization that receives the most votes wins all of the money raised that evening.

We were so happy to see so many of our LSC families at the event! The LSC won over $200 and it was the second largest reward SoupGrant has ever given out! This money will be used to replace some of our equipment and to purchase grass seed to repair our fields this spring.

soupgrant-1Thank you once again to all of the LSC families that joined us for a great evening of soup and community, and also a big thank you to SoupGrant Lansing for having us!

Kroger Community Rewards

KrogerWe are excited to announce that the Lansing Soccer Club has teamed up with Kroger Community Rewards to help raise money for our Scholarship Fund. The process takes just 4 minutes to complete and instructions are below.

What if I don’t have a Kroger Plus Card?

Go to Kroger.com, at the top right click on the orange “register” button. Enter the information it asks for and click the orange “create account” button. You will be directed to a new page where you will be asked to enter your Card # or Alt ID, click on the blue text that says “request digital card” and create an alternate ID (it is very simple to just use your Phone Number). You will not have a physical card but you can now punch in your Alt. ID at checkout and it will work the same as swiping a card!
