Congratulations to our first player to earn a college scholarship
Lansing State Journal, published January 12, 2006)
Vikings' standout Rueckert signs
Everett's
program emerged from mediocrity to become one of the area's best with a
school-record 15 wins last fall. And one of its players is continuing
to reap the benefits.
All-area forward R.J. Rueckert has signed with Indiana Tech, an NAIA school.
He had 19 goals and 12 assists as a senior.
We
are very proud of RJ Rueckert for being the first soccer player
from the Lansing Soccer Club to earn a scholarship to a university, he
will be attending Indiana Tech. RJ started playing soccer many years
ago in the Lansing Parks League, at the time our club was just
starting to grow. He also plalyed indoor with us for several
seasons. RJ continued playing premier and high school soccer and now
deservedly so is ready to move to the next level. His sisters
Katie, Danielle and Lily currently play soccer for LSC and his
stepfather, Bill Stephan is one of our coaches. Well done RJ
and family!!!
